Reflection Prompt: How has technology impacted or changed your classroom assessment and evaluation? Has your data collection methodology changed with technology? If technology has not impacted your assessment and evaluation, what would you like to change? Discuss technology and your own productivity and professional practice.

Description:

I think technology has greatly impacted my assessment and evaluation methods. Before, most of my quizzes or tests were in class. Now, I have a much more solid command over our learning management system springboard by Desire 2 Learn.

Impact:

Using tools such as Springboard will make testing much easier, especially for online courses. We are even implementing a Lockdown service that can literally watch the student as they take the test and will not let them minimize their browser etc. It basically puts a hard stopper in cheating at home. While of course there are ways, we are doing our best to make online classes as close to on-campus courses as possible.

Intent:

I will continue to learn new technologies that can better help me conduct my courses and help me assess the learning going on in class. Being in this course and working at my assistantship have helped quite a bit.
